Windows 10 is currently on Version 1809.  All Windows 10 machines need to be updated to Version 1809 as soon as possible.  Please follow these steps to determine which version of Windows you have and what is needed to get fully up to date.

Step 1:

a.  Click on the Start button.

b.  Select Settings (the "gear" symbol on the left side of the Start menu).

c.  Choose "System" (first option).

d.  Scroll down on the left side and click on "About".  This will show you your version (scroll down a little to see it).

As Windows continues to release updates, this will be the way to check to see if you have them.  Always allow enough time for them to install, and reboot your machine after they've completed, even if you are presented with a username and password login screen when you come back.

Step 2:

If the Version says 1511 or 1607, please contact your technology representative.  Your machine will need to be re-imaged to be brought up to date.  Please back up your data as soon as possible (Desktop items, items located in Documents and Downloads folders).  If your version says 1709 or 1803, please do the following:

a.  Close the Settings window.

b.  Click on the Windows Start button and scroll down to the M's to Microsoft System Center.  Click on this and then click on Software Center to open it.

c.  When Software Center opens and shows available programs (give it a few seconds), click on Operating Systems on the left (third choice down).

d.  Windows 10 Education 1809 Update will be available for you.  SEE BELOW BEFORE INSTALLING.  Click on it, and then click Install.*

*NOTE:  THIS PROCESS TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR AND YOU CANNOT USE ANY MICROSOFT PRODUCTS ON YOUR COMPUTER DURING UPDATE, SO IT IS BEST TO LET THIS RUN OVERNIGHT OR WHILE YOU WILL BE AWAY FROM YOUR MACHINE FOR AT LEAST AN HOUR.
